After posting last night about the story of the TSA taking a woman’s baby, I’ve been directed to the TSA blog which shows what is supposed to be the security footage from the airport. (I don’t recall seeing this on the TSA blog when I went there yesterday, although it may have been.)
You can watch the video here if you’re interested.
I’m not sure what I think about it all. It was interesting to watch the video and read the comments left on the TSA blog in response to it. Good points for both sides. If you have time you should read the comments.
Whether the story was exaggerated or not, I do not feel that the TSA handled the situation in a professional manner (assuming this is the same woman in the footage). She should not have been ignored and left waiting in a box for someone to decide they were ready to handle her. They should not have left her there while her belongings piled up at the end of the belt, left to be taken care of by another passenger. They should have tried to get that woman out of there and screened her as quickly as possible so she could get to her gate and on her flight.
If the TSA hadn’t had issues and bad press in the past, I don’t think this story would be getting the reaction it is getting. TSA has some major changes that need to be made!!
Have you seen the video? If so, what do you think?
** I went to her blog to see if she has responded to this video… It’s down because of too much traffic.**
