A Blogtastic Extravaganza Sponsor Spotlight: Nifty Nappy review and *Extra Entries*

Next sponsor for A Blogtastic Extravaganza is Nifty Nappy!
If you are familiar with cloth diapers, chances are you are well aware of Nifty Nappy. Vilate, the mom behind the diapers, is a super talented WAHM. Not only does she make adorable diapers, but she makes wool covers and swim diapers as well.

When I found out we were expecting, I knew I wanted to try to cloth diaper. I saw tons of reviews and giveaways for many different diapers, but Nifty Nappy was one I wanted most. The prints she uses are adorable, and every review I read was awesome.

A few months before Connor was born, I saw that there was a new Nifty Nappy diaper for newborns, the Bitty Bums diaper! I contacted Vilate about a possible review, and she responded asking that I be a tester; she was wanting to tweak the diaper a bit to make it fit a bit longer. She sent a few different sized diapers for me to try. I couldn’t wait for Connor to be born and try them!

Connor tested each of the sized diapers. There was one that worked best, and we’ve been able to use it from birth up to now! Connor was 6lbs 11oz at birth, and is now 16lbs. And yes, the diaper has fit him this entire time!

4months old (16lbs)

The diaper comes with an insert made of organic hemp fleece and organic bamboo velour, making them super soft, as well as super absorbent, durable, antibacterial and antimicrobial!

Connor is and has always been a heavy wetter. This is a fitted diaper, and while most newborns would probably be able to go without a cover with this diaper, we could not. The insert was absorbent enough at first to do a pretty good job, but as he got bigger we had to use an extra insert to boost absorbency. Worked like a charm!

Even with the extra insert, the diaper was still nice and trim. The rise is low, which was especially wonderful when his umbilical cord hadn’t fallen off yet. And even with the low rise, messes were contained. I had no leaks with the diaper. They fit well around his legs, even when he still had skinny-newborn-chicken legs!

We love our Nifty Nappy diapers!

Buy it: Nifty Nappy has a suggested retail price of $22.50 for the Bitty Bums diaper. Check retailers for specific prices.

But here’s the sad part… Due to the new CPSIA ruling, Nifty Nappy will be closing. As a WAHM, the price to test each diaper for lead will be far too costly. But don’t despair! Products will still be sold until February 10th. Retailers who are currently carrying Nifty Nappy diapers will still have diapers available until they’re sold out. Many retailers are also offering 5%-15% off of Nifty Nappy products through the end of the month, so head over and buy them up now!! Also, keep an eye on the Nifty Nappy Facebook and Twitter pages, as there will be some fun giveaways going on as well.

Win it: You can win something from Nifty Nappy right here! Vilate has decided to give away any item you want from her site! This will be part of the giveaway package up for grabs on January 18th.
