A Blogtastic Extravaganza 2.0 Sponsor Spotlight: Easy Canvas Prints *Early Entries*

Photobucket

Since moving into our home 4 years ago I have yet to get pictures up on the walls.  I have a few photos and prints up, but much of my wall space is empty.  It’s so hard to find the prints I like, and when I do they’re often far too pricey!

I was so excited to learn about Easy Canvas Prints.com!  At Easy Canvas Prints, you upload your photo and they’ll turn it into a canvas print! Can’t find a photo you want to use? Check their image gallery for something you like and let them create a canvas print for you!

The process of creating a print is so easy.  Begin by choosing what size you want your print to be.  You can choose a standard size from 8″ x 8″ all the way up to 24″ x 36″,  or create your own size!  Next, choose the canvas wrap thickness; either 3/4″ or 1 1/2″.  The next part was what I found the most difficult…Choosing which photo to have made into a canvas print!  Once I settled on something, I uploaded it.  Underneath the upload button is a handy tool which tells you whether the photo you chose has a good enough image quality. If not, they’ll let you know so you can either fix it or choose another.  There are a few more steps to follow, including choosing your border (mirror image, image wrap, or solid color), and color finish (black and white, sepia, or as is), and whether you want their experts to retouch your image.  With each option you select, the price of your print is updated at the top so you know exactly what you’ll be spending!

Here is the photo I chose:

This was taken by my aunt at Glacier National Park in Montana. Isn’t it just beautiful?!

I completed my order and immediately got a confirmation email letting me know it was being processed.  The following day when I logged into my email account I noticed another email from Easy Canvas Prints.  Turns out the image I chose had too few pixels, causing the photo to blur when blown up to the size I wanted.  Included in the email was a clickable link which took me to a sample of what my print would look like if I left it as is. It was definitely way too blurry!  I was SO relieved that their experts picked up on this and informed me, allowing me to fix this problem rather than sending me a blurry print!  I resized the pixels and sent them an email back with the new image.  Easy as that!
My canvas is currently being created, so I don’t have a photo of the finished product to share with you yet.  As soon as I do you can bet I’ll be sharing it though, because I know it’s going to be amazing!! It’s done and it’s amazing! I had a hard time getting a good picture of it, but it really did turn out amazing and I LOVE IT!

I had so much fun creating my print and I am ready to do it again!  I’ll have to narrow down my choices a bit more, as I can’t afford to do all the photos I want, but I am looking forward to creating another work of art to display on my walls!

  2. Hi. Nice to meet you – I am coming from The Perfect Line.

Love your blog and am your latest follower.

Love the idea of turning prints into canvas. It takes me a LONG time to hang things up too. Partly finding the 'perfect' frame….

    Looking forward to more ideas,

Isn't it wonderful that we live in an age where you can create your own artwork to hang in your home, from pictures of great memories to the drawings your wonderful children create for you?

I didn't enter the giveaway because my boyfriend works at a place where he can make such prints for our home at little to no cost, so there's no point for me to take the chance away from someone who doesn't have the same luxury. It's a great deal though! Congrats in advance to any winners!

I'm following through GFC via the FMParty at “the perfect line”.
