Happy Baby Organic Baby Food review and giveaway!*CLOSED*

When it comes time to start giving you baby solids, where do you start? If you’re not sure, or if you’re ready to try something new, as well as healthier, look for the HappyBaby Food brand!

Happy Baby Foods has a huge variety of organic baby and toddler food. This means no pesticides, no chemical fertilizers, no genetic modification and no preservatives; much healthier and safer for your baby!  Each food offers great healthy alternatives to the norms we are accustomed to from those “other” baby food brands.

We were sent coupons to get a selection of HappyBaby Food products to try!  I was anxious to try a few of these, as they were different from any other foods I’ve tried with my babies before.  I wondered if Connor would like some of them, as the ingredients were a bit different than he was used to.

We first used HappyBellies oatmeal cereal.  This is the only baby cereal with probiotic immune support (for immune and digestive health), and the only organic cereal available with DHA which is necessary for the development of the nervous system and visual abilities.
I generally mix a baby food of some sort with the oatmeal to add a little flavor, but I wanted to see how Connor liked this plain. He loves it! There is never any fuss or problems getting him to eat it.  Of all the breakfast choices we’ve given Connor, he prefers HappyBellies oatmeal over anything else!

Next we tried the HappyMelts, bite size morsels that melt in baby’s mouth.  These also include pre- and probiotics for digestive health, and are made with organic yogurt and real fruit! I was sure these would be a hit, and I was right. Connor can’t get enough of these!  I, of course, had to try one. They are really good! It was interesting to experience them melt when you eat them… Perfect for little ones who may not always chew their food well.  This was especially nice for Connor, as he has a tendency to gag and choke on food very easily. These are a great snack for home and on-the-go, and I often reach for them and toss a few on Connor’s plate to hold him over while I am getting his meals cut up and in front of him.

HappyMunchies are interesting… They are cheese puffs (see above photos), but made with kale, broccoli and cheddar cheese or carrots and cheddar cheese! Each serving contains 25 mg choline for healthy brain development, they’re made with whole grain corn, and the sodium content is much less than other cheese snacks.
I’ll be honest, I didn’t have the guts to try these, but Connor loves how they taste. I love that they are an awesome, healthy alternative to other cheese snacks I could be giving him! These- along with the HappyMelts- are my go-to snacks for Connor. They also pack up great in a snack cup to toss in my diaper bag!

All of my kids love chicken nuggets.  HappyBaby has chicken nuggets, but also a few different kinds of nuggets as well: HappyBites Frozen, available in 5 different flavors.  The ones I found and decided to try were the Veggie Tots: organic shredded patties packed with hidden veggies!  Each box contains 2 servings of vegetables.
Once again, Connor loves these! I cut them up in to little bite size pieces and he gobbles them down.  I had my other kids try them too, as they are “experts” on nuggets. I was curious to see what they’d think of these veggie nuggets.  They all thought they were really good! Again, a great, healthier alternative to the norm, which I love!

HappyTot is baby food, but not your ordinary baby food.  Each package contains fruits and veggies mixed with the super grain Salba, and is packed with 822 mg of natural omega-3 fatty acids per serving, as well as antioxidants.  The packaging is great too;  It stores well in my cupboards, and is also nice as I can just toss it in the diaper bag and go without worries of breaking glass or cracking plastic, or taking up too much space.

HappyBaby Pouches are also in great, easy take-along packaging, and come in 14 different flavors for babies just starting solids thru 7+ months.  I chose the Chick Chick flavor for Connor, which is part of the 7+ month, balanced meal line.  Each of these balanced meals contains a mix of veggies, fruits, and super grains.  The Chick Chick flavor we chose has organic sweet potato, organic chicken and organic brown rice pasta.  I know I sound like a broken record when I say Connor loved it, but he did!

Unlike many other flavors and brands we’ve tried, which Connor doesn’t always like, he loved every. single. product and flavor we’ve tried from Happy Baby.  I’ve since purchased other HappyBaby products and flavors, each with the same success.

The only problem I had with HappyBaby food was finding all of the products I needed for the review at a store near us.  I found a few at the Super Target close to me, but had to drive a bit to the nearest Whole Foods Market to get the rest of the products I needed.  However, just today when I went to the farmers market I frequent, I saw the entire HappyBaby Food line of products! Awesome! I grabbed a few of our favorites, including some new flavors we hadn’t tried yet. I’m thrilled to know I can purchase any of the HappyBaby food I want at a store I shop at weekly!

Aside from the great food options HappyBaby offers, I also choose to support them for a few other great reasons:

  • -For every package of HappyBaby food you buy, HappyBaby parteners with Project Peanut Butter to help feed malnourished children in Malawi!
  • -HappyBaby’s commitment to sustainability!
  • -They are made in the U.S!

Buy It: The HappyBaby line of products can be purchased online from HappyBaby, or at retailers such as Target, Whole Foods Market, Kroger, and many others.  To find a store near you that carries HappyBaby food, check the store locator.

  31. I am so happy to feed my baby organic food. I used to mix a probiotic into the food but with this product, it's already in there so it is much more convenient. My baby likes this especially when I mix it with a veggie or fruit puree. As an added benefit, this rice cereal doesn't 'bind' up my baby the way Earth's Best does, so the form of iron in this cereal must be better for him. I used to think it was the rice that was binding him, but as soon as we changed to this brand, he was all better.

  32. Our kid loves “binding” bananas which means he must be willing to also love “loosening” prunes. Luckily he does and I've got a case of these on subscribe and save. I've tried them myself and they are pretty yummy [for prunes].
