Clean your produce with all natural MyClyns-review

I want my kids to learn healthy eating by example, so I try to be sure we eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.  More and more the media is- quite frankly- freaking me out about what is on our foods.  I have a little card with the “Dirty Dozen” and “Clean Fifteen” fruits and veggies.  I try to stick to that when I shop for produce, as the thought of putting harmful chemicals in my family’s bodies is upsetting.  However, I’ve learned that even organic produce can contain natural fertilizers, dirt and other residues! It is frustrating to think we can’t even eat what is supposed to be healthy without worrying about the unhealthy things ON them!

Because of this, I have always wanted to try a fruit and veggie wash, but never did know where to start. Which is better? Where do I get it? How do I know if it’s any good?

Then I was introduced to MyClyns, an all natural fruit and veggie wash, and I jumped at the chance to try it!  I have always been good about washing my fruits and veggies, but only with water.  While that’s better than nothing, I know it’s not the best at getting rid of all of the chemicals, dirt, wax, etc off of the food.  MyClyns removes 98% more chemicals, wax and contaminants than water alone! It is 100% Natural and rinses away clean, leaving no aftertaste or smell.  The directions say to spray the entire food surface, rub for about 1 minute and then rinse. Easy enough…

I immediately noticed the yummy citrus smell of MyClyns.  As I washed the food, there was a noticeable soapy feeling, as well as soap bubbles.  As I rinsed, the bubbles and soapy feeling went away.  I immediately noticed the difference in the tomato I washed.  Prior to using the MyClyns Food wash, the tomato was very waxy, but after the wash the waxy feeling was completely gone!  There was no noticeable taste or smell on my food afterward either!

The MyClyns Food Wash was easy to use on most foods, however, it was not as easy with certain leafy foods like lettuce or cilantro.  That said, it wasn’t so difficult that I wouldn’t or haven’t used them on those foods since.

I have been using MyClyns almost daily for over a week now and from the looks of the bottle, you’d hardly know I used any at all; it goes a long way!

We LOVE MyClyns Food Wash!  I love knowing I am getting much of the nasty stuff off before serving it to my family. I will definitely be purchasing more when this bottle runs out!

  1. I never used to use a produce wash but I think it's such a good idea these days… who knows what they're spraying on our food!

  2. This sounds interesting. I'm a crazy produce washer, so will definitely look into this product.

  3. This sounds great. Thanks for the post!

  4. It seems counterintuitive to spray something on produce, but this product looks fantastic! I often scrub my fruits and veggies so hard that I rub away the skin trying to get them clean. I am totally looking into this product!

  5. It sounds like this product works great for you. But I am wondering… You said it has a citrus smell to it. Does it contain any oils or additives from oranges? My daughter is allergic to oranges (doesn't seem to have a problem with other citrus though), and I would hate to accidentally contaminate her food!
