My kids are homeschooled, so I don’t regularly pack their lunch in kids lunch containers. But there are times when we take our lunch to the park, meet friends for a lunch date somewhere, or go on a day trip and need to pack a lunch. While I can’t profess to be the the most “green” person you’ll ever meet, I’m all for making less waste, for doing my part to help in whatever way I can.
This is why I LOVE our new lunch box from Reuseit!!
First, I’d love to share my experience when ordering my lunch box. As soon as I placed my order, I got an order confirmation. I also got an email when my order was shipped, keeping me updated every step of the way so there was no guessing if they ever even got my order, or when I would be getting my shipment!
As soon as I took the Bento Box Set with carrying case out of the shipping box, my kids wanted to use it. We had nowhere to go that day, but I let them look at it and ooh and ahh over it. The boys were begging to hold it and have me take their pictures with it!
This lunch box has so many great features! I love that it has a removable strap on it. You can keep the strap on and carry it over your shoulder, or you can remove it and carry it by the handle.
The outer material of the case is made of 100% post-consumer recycled polypropylene material. It is good and sturdy, and can also be wiped off with a wet cloth when it gets dirty. The carrying case has enough room to fit the box, as well as a water bottle or whatever else you may want to put in it. There are 5 microwave safe containers included, and they are BPA-free, phthalate and lead free! The containers are also available for purchase separately (and in multiple colors), to accommodate your lunch needs, or to have extras for when you may not get to the dishes in time to wash your containers before you need to pack another lunch!
The inside of the case features an interior mesh for placing an ice-pack. There is also an outside pocket that zips closed, perfect for holding a cloth napkin or anything else you may want to keep separate from your food. I also love that the lunch box comes with a 96-page booklet, which is full of information on nutrition, packing a smart lunch, wholesome, quick-meal lunch recipes and tips on reducing waste.
Today, Logan had a homeschool study at one of our co-ops houses, and so I packed his lunch for after the study. To say the other kids were jealous is an understatement. I’m going to need to look into getting a few more of these. Not only are they convenient, but the kids love them so much! Until then, I think I may have to “pack” their lunches regularly during the week, and just eat outside or something!
Come back later tonight for your chance to win your own Bento Box Set with Carrying Case!
