Lucky Clover Event Sponsor Spotlight: Kids Lunch Containers from Reuseit!

My kids are homeschooled, so I don’t regularly pack their lunch in kids lunch containers.  But there are times when we take our lunch to the park, meet friends for a lunch date somewhere, or go on a day trip and need to pack a lunch. While I can’t profess to be the the most “green” person you’ll ever meet, I’m all for making less waste, for doing my part to help in whatever way I can.

This is why I LOVE our new lunch box from Reuseit!!

First, I’d love to share my experience when ordering my lunch box.  As soon as I placed my order, I got an order confirmation.  I also got an email when my order was shipped, keeping me updated every step of the way so there was no guessing if they ever even got my order, or when I would be getting my shipment!

As soon as I took the Bento Box Set with carrying case out of the shipping box, my kids wanted to use it.  We had nowhere to go that day, but I let them look at it and ooh and ahh over it.  The boys were begging to hold it and have me take their pictures with it!

This lunch box has so many great features!  I love that it has a removable strap on it.  You can keep the strap on and carry it over your shoulder, or you can remove it and carry it by the handle.

The outer material of the case is made of 100% post-consumer recycled polypropylene material.  It is good and sturdy, and can also be wiped off with a wet cloth when it gets dirty.  The carrying case has enough room to fit the box, as well as a water bottle or whatever else you may want to put in it. There are 5 microwave safe containers included, and they are BPA-free, phthalate and lead free!  The containers are also available for purchase separately (and in multiple colors), to accommodate your lunch needs, or to have extras for when you may not get to the dishes in time to wash your containers before you need to pack another lunch!

The inside of the case features an interior mesh for placing an ice-pack.  There is also an outside pocket that zips closed, perfect for holding a cloth napkin or anything else you may want to keep separate from your food.  I also love that the lunch box comes with a 96-page booklet, which is full of information on nutrition, packing a smart lunch, wholesome, quick-meal lunch recipes and tips on reducing waste.

Today, Logan had a homeschool study at one of our co-ops houses, and so I packed his lunch for after the study.  To say the other kids were jealous is an understatement. I’m going to need to look into getting a few more of these.  Not only are they convenient, but the kids love them so much!  Until then, I think I may have to “pack” their lunches regularly during the week, and just eat outside or something!

Come back later tonight for your chance to win your own Bento Box Set with Carrying Case!

  1. I really like that you get so many separate containers so each food item has it's own safe place.

I like that they're BPA-free, phthalate and lead free! This is very important to me as Bisphenol A can cause some serious health problems and I have taken everything (dishes, cookware, food storage) plastic out of my home. I feel better knowing I am doing what I can to keep my kids safe from harmful chemicals in their food.

  3. I like that this comes with containers because you don't see that very often with the lunch packs that are sold in stores and it can be difficult to fine decent containers that fit. With my son starting Kindergarten next year and my daughter in second grade, it would get costly to do hot lunch everyday!

  4. Right now I am using a rubbermaid container that has two compartments. I can fit his lunch in there and a drink, then it goes into the lunch bag. The bento box would be great for extra snack compartments and I love the print!

  5. I'd love to have this so I can take it to work or church when we have bagged lunches. I like keeping food separate, but sometimes it seems that there are so many containers floating around.

  6. These are great lunchboxes. I really like the straps so you can take around hands free.

  7. I like that this lunch kit is eco friendly!

  8. I love that they thought of everything right down to the place for an ice pack! Dd will be starting pre-school next year and this would be perfect for her to take her lunch in!

  10. I was JUST looking at these the other day! I've been trying to bring my own lunches to work more often and this seems to be the perfect lunch box!

  11. Looks like it holds lots.. perfect for Jayden's lunch. Thanks for the great review.

  13. Those are great containers- such fun colors too! I also really like that the outer portion is made of 100% post-consumer recycled polypropylene!

  14. Those Bento boxes are the absolute perfect size. I love them, and super cool alien print for your little boy! The laptop lunch booklet looks interesting. I'm always looking for new ideas for my kids' lunches. I am also really loving the lunchskins for sandwiches that reuseit sells. So many different patterns to choose from! Thanks for the review.

  15. I love that the company kept you updated with receiving your order, shipping, etc. I hate to place an order and just sit there wondering if they got my order and if it'll ever ship!

  16. I really enjoy seeing companies that are helping us go green easily. My daughter would love to take this to school each day with her reusable water bottle and cloth napkin. I love helping my kids preserve their future!

  17. I am thinking this might also make a handy little tote for me to carry assorted beads and supplies in all the separate little containers for stringing beads while I am at my daily doctors appointments!

I like all the container compartments!
