This recipe has been in my life for as long as I can remember. It is a favorite of most people I know, and any time one of us makes it and shares, the cookies are gone in no time.
Aside from how amazing they taste, I love how easy they are to make! If I want a sweet, chocolatey treat in a few minutes, this is the answer- NO BAKE COOKIES! 🙂
So I’m going to share the recipe with you. But I’ll warn you, if you’ve never had these before, beware. You’re going to love them, you’re going to want to make them all the time, and you’re going to wish you hadn’t tried them because you won’t be able to stop eating them. So, sorry, and you’re welcome.
- 2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup cocoa
- 1 cube butter
- 3/4 cup peanut butter
- 3 cups oatmeal
- In saucepan, heat sugar, milk, cocoa and butter.
- Bring to boil for 2 minutes stirring constantly. (The time on this is VERY important. Boil for too long and the cookies will be very dry and crumbly. Boil to short and they’ll be mushy and may never harden up)
- Remove from heat and add peanut butter and oatmeal. Stir until mixed, then drop by spoonfuls on wax paper and let cool.
