Recipe: Tangy Honey Glaze Ham

This is THE recipe I use every time I make a ham. It is so good and a hit with everyone who I serve it to.

Tangy Honey Glaze Ham

– 1 (10 lb) fully-cooked bone-in ham
– 1 1/4 cups packed dark brown sugar
– 1/3 cup pineapple juice
– 1/3 cup honey
– 1/4 cup orange juice
– 2 tablespoons dijon mustard
– 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

– Preheat oven to 325 degree F (165 degrees C). Place ham in a roasting pan and cover with aluminum foil.
– In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, honey, orange juice, dijon mustard, and ground cloves.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes. Set aside.
– Bake ham in preheated oven for 2 hours. Remove ham from oven, remove foil, (at this point I drain most of the liquid in the pan), and baste with glaze. Bake uncovered for an additional 30 to 45 minutes, basting ham with glaze every 10 minutes.

  1. Yum! Now I want to go get a ham 🙂
