Educational Insights Freeze Up Game #Giveaway

Along with the super fun and adorable Sneaky Snacky Squirrel Game, we were also sent the Freeze Up Game to review.

This game is geared for 8 years old and up, though our 5 and 6 year old kids enjoy playing it as well.  It is a fun game for 2-8 players (or teams) that really makes you think.  Have you ever been put on the spot and froze up?  That’s what this game is based around!  Each player is prompted to name something that starts with a particular letter.  Each player (or team) is required to either answer quickly or choose another category or letter in order to stay in the game.  Press the stop button when you’ve answered in order to stop your time, then pass to the next player.  Featuring over 170 categories allows for tons of different questions, and the last person (or team) to still have time remaining wins!

I can’t tell you how much this game has been used since we opened it.  We play it as a family, challenge each other one-on-one, and there are times when I find the kids playing Freeze Up together in their rooms to pass the time.  It helps pass time while I’m making dinner or while we’re riding in the car too! And since there is automatic scoring it makes it easy for all of us, especially the kids when they want to play and have no adults around to help.

There are so many fun questions and I’m amazed at the fun and creative answers my kids come up with.  The only problem we have is that it can be hard to understand which letter the voice on the game is saying; d, b, e, g, c… They all sound the same!  That doesn’t make the game any less fun, however, and we really can’t get enough! It’s as entertaining to watch as it is to play.  My 5-year-old thinks he has to yell the answers into the game and it makes me laugh every time.

This has been a fantastic addition to our family game night games, as well as a fun activity for anytime, and I can’t wait to bring this to my family’s house on Thanksgiving and Christmas so we can all play together!
