If I had my way, I’d go without a bra. They just aren’t comfortable, and unless I wear a sports bra I don’t quite get the support I always need, especially when chasing around my kids all day. Sports bras are great when I’m working out, but I don’t want to wear them every day just to have the support I *might* need at some point during the day. Unfortunately, going without a bra is not an option, so I deal with it, and sometimes it’s torturous! Recently, however, wearing a bra hasn’t been as miserable. Why?
I have been wearing the Genie Bra for nearly 2 weeks now, and I love it! In between a bra and a sports bra, the Genie Bra is comfortable and supportive. It has a wide band design that lifts and separates, eliminating the need for oftentimes uncomfortable under-wire; Say goodbye to poking! I hardly notice I’m wearing it, which is so nice.
I know I’m like most women when I say I am not “symmetrical”. Oftentimes it’s hard to find a bra that fits well on both sides, and while I know there are places you can customize sizes to fit you perfectly, those aren’t always affordable. This bra is made with unique fabric that conforms to any cup size and never loses it’s shape. It comes with removable pads for extra lift (thankyouverymuch), and is sold in sizes from XS to 4X, making it a perfect fit for any woman! It also comes in 12 different colors (sold in sets of 3).
I love that- when I play a game of tag with my kids or hustle down the driveway to catch the soccer ball before it goes into the street- I don’t have to hold my chest for fear of too much bounce. It’s nice to be able to play with my kids without feeling self conscious or uncomfortable about the support I have (or lack thereof).
The only problem I have with it is that, unlike on the model on the website, I’ve found the bra to be a bit high. I am a very modest dresser, with no super low-cut tops and most are not even close to low-cut, yet I can’t wear some of my tops with this bra because it shows. A minor problem for me, but it could be an issue if you tend to wear lower cut tops regularly. The site says it can be worn as a camisole, but for me- knowing it’s a bra- I have a hard time wearing it like that…
One more thing… As comfortable as this is, I wish I’d have had it when I was nursing my kids, especially after they were first born. Sleeping without a bra was not an option for quite a few months, and having one as comfortable as this would have been heavenly!
I was also able to try the Slim & Tone Leggings from Genie. These leggings have 5 areas of compression, holding in all the bumps and lumps and hiding the cellulite. The leggings target main problem areas- tummy, hips, inner thighs, outer thighs and buttocks- making you look good in anything you wear! See the picture to the right? They go very high in the waist if you want or need the additional coverage there, but if not you can roll them down for double control in your lower waist!! The leggings are sold in black, charcoal, and rich cocoa. I wanted to share a photo of myself wearing them, but I have no long tops to wear them with yet. Believe me though, I’m on a mission to find a few because these leggings not only make me feel thinner, but they’re so comfortable!!
