Bath time is something my kids have always loved and my newest addition is no different! Anyone with a newborn knows giving a bath isn’t always easy though. Until babies can sit up on their own baths can sometimes be a challenge. Luckily there are many options out there for bathing little ones, including one I just recently learned of…Blooming Bath. Not only is this ADORABLE, it’s also very functional! Just place it in your kitchen sink, add some water, and you’re good to go!
According to their blog the Blooming Bath is the “Most Trendy Baby Registry Item of 2013“. While I’m not normally one to get something based upon trends I can see why this is popular item. It has the cuteness factor which gives it major points, and it actually does what it says. It provides a soft, convenient bath for your baby. For me this is perfect because I have two other young children at home to take care of on top of a newborn and kitchen sink baths make so much more sense for me. When my husband isn’t home and I’ve got all three kids by myself using the bathroom tub just doesn’t work unless I want to drag all three kids in there with me…no thanks! With the Blooming Bath I can give my daughter a bath while keeping my eye on the other two kids in the kitchen. I found giving them a coloring book or other art project to work on at the table while I give her a bath keeps them busy and nearby while I bathe the little lady.
The Blooming Bath works great for my baby because even though she’s not able to support herself on her own yet, the soft sides keep her stabilized (with my help of course!) in the tub so I can wash her in comfort. I wasn’t sure what to expect the first time I used it, but it worked great! The soft petals stayed warm from the water and I was able to give my daughter a quick bath while her older brothers watched. The were very curious about the “flower bathtub”. Clean up was easy too. I just squeezed out the water and hung it up in the shower till it dried. It can also go in the dryer, but I haven’t tried that. I would rather just hang it up than turn on my dryer though! It also folds up into a convenient zippered bag for storage.
The Blooming Bath is a definite keeper in my house. I would seriously consider it for my next baby shower gift as well! If you’re a new mom or mom to be the Blooming Bath is well worth your consideration. Then when you use it be sure to have your camera nearby for some seriously cute picture opportunities!
