If there’s one thing I always need/want as a mother, it’s a new item of clothing. I’m your typical mother; I buy for the family when they need it (or when it’s too adorable of affordable to pass up), but when it comes to buying for myself I feel guilty. Sure, I need a new pair of shorts or some socks without holes, I want a new dress or a new tank top for this warm weather, but I really shouldn’t spend the money. Besides, my husband needs new shirts more than I do, my kids are going to need a new pair of shoes soon (they grow way too fast!) so I should save that money for them. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve purchased something for myself- be it need or want- and then found myself back at the same store the next day returning the item because the guilt hit me harder than the need/want for it. It’s a vicious cycle. Because of this, when I get new clothes that I decide (or get) to keep, I feel like a million bucks no matter what the item is. It’s new and I love it!
I was so excited when Fresh Produce agreed to be a part of the Mother’s Day Gift Guide. I love Fresh Produce Clothing, and have been thrilled with every piece I’ve ever gotten from them. In fact, I love their clothing so much I’ve made personal purchases from them- that’s right, non-review items that I spent my own money on. I love them that much!
I have to say this most recent item I received from Fresh Produce- the Harbor Dress in sea green- is my absolute favorite.
I’m told it’s very popular (I can see why), and the sea green color I received was so popular that it’s no longer an available color option. No worries though. One thing that’s so awesome about Fresh Produce is the numerous color selections for each of their pieces; you’re bound to find a few colors that you’ll have to have. The Harbor Dress has 24 different colors to choose from, and I am seriously considering buying the twilight or fuchsia to add to my wardrobe (or maybe both)!
I wear a dress (or skirt/blouse) every Sunday for church, but this dress has become one I wear often, not just to church. On our recent trip to Maui I wore it out to dinner, walking down Front Street to browse the shops, walking on the beach… It’s a great style that works no matter where you wear it! It’s 92% rayon and 8% spandex, so it not only hangs just right, it is so comfortable! And… it has pockets! You guys, I’ve never owned a dress with pockets. I always thought they added bulk to the look and made the hips look larger than life (something I do not need any assistance with, thankyouverymuch), but I was wrong. WAY wrong. Pockets are awesome, and as you can see by the photos, I don’t think they add bulk at all.
Another awesome detail about Fresh Produce is that their clothing is made in the USA. Fresh Produce is about to celebrate 30 years (of awesomeness), so be sure to check their Facebook page for upcoming events and deals!
