DDT button new 175Welcome to a new week of Delicious Dish Tuesday, where we share our recipes and ask you to share YOUR awesome recipes with us!

Last week Jillian from Creating Silver Linings shared a yummy, healthy, corn-free recipe for Strawberry Chocolate Ice Cream

Strawberry Chocolate IceCreamDid you know that dark chocolate has corn in it? Such a bummer for those like Jillian who need a corn-free diet! But she found a way to get that chocolate in her delicious strawberry ice cream, which I’m sure is amazing on it’s own, but with chocolate has got to be to die for! YUM!!

Thanks for sharing, Jillian! Feel free to grab our featured button below!

I usually like to share a similar recipe to the one I’ve chosen to feature, but I haven’t ever attempted to make ice cream.  I have an ice cream maker I got at Christmas and my kids have been begging to use it, so I suppose it’s time I put it to the test (and come up with some yummy home made ice cream flavors just in time for summer)! Since I don’t have an ice cream recipe, I thought I’d share a recipe for a dessert that goes great with ice cream- Chocolate Cake!  Some of you have seen this recipe before, but for those who don’t- it’s a good one! 🙂 This particular cake was my son’s birthday cake a few years ago. He wanted peanut butter frosting on his chocolate cake (Captain America cake, of course). It was SO good (the chocolate cake and peanut butter frosting, that is). 🙂

  1. Ohhhhh, yum, yum, and MORE yum!! I have really been in a peanut butter and chocolate kick lately and wanting more than just Reese’s or Butterfinger. This looks delish and your cake is PERFECT! I am sure your son loved the Captain America theme and edible shield. 😀 I have fallen in love with Dreyer’s Grand (on the western side of the US; midwest and eastern the brand is Edy’s) Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup! It is SO my favorite!!! Better than Breyer’s Reese’s Explosion! Thanks for the recipe–it’s a keeper! I am looking forward to checking out the other links here as they pop up!

  2. Oh man, that cake looks so good! You did a fantastic job with the decoration too! 🙂

  3. Ohh mouth wateringgggg at that cake!

  4. Your Captain America cake looks awesome, Alesha! My dad and my brothers would pick chocolate cake with peanut butter frosting as their favorite too.
    Thank you for the party.

  5. Thanks for hosting! I’m honored that you chose my Strawberry Chocolate Balls as a featured recipe this week. I’m sharing my extravagant Lemon Ice Cream Sandwich.
