Wordless Wednesday- Arizona heat and our poor garden and grass!

Before the heat:

After the heat:

Thankfully we got a ton from the garden before it died.  This is just a teeny-tiny taste of what it produced. We also got cantaloupe, watermelon and cucumbers. Everything was DELISH!

Nothing grows in the garden now no matter how much we water it. Too hot. And it costs too much to keep the grass green! LOL!  Looking forward to cooler weather and a gorgeous lawn again!

  1. I feel your pain! Our lawn is dead too – we finally got rain this past week, which only revived the weeds, of course!

  2. Oh my! definately no need for words. Ouch! Stopping by from WW.

  3. Mrs. Marine says

It's a good thing you “harvested” before it all died. My husbands grandmother lives in AZ and she was telling me how hot its been… Our first duty station was in the desert in 29 Palms CA, same kind of heat, I know how it feels… YUCK!!

  4. Wow, Thank goodness you got some nice looking veggies before they dies though.

  5. I couldn't help notice all your colorful onesies! So fun!

But I'm sorry your garden didn't do so well.

  6. Aww, that is what my plants look like too. Especially my poor fern.

I'm your newest follower! I also snagged your button.

  7. The AZ heat is so harsh. but the veggies look good.

  8. Oh no! 🙁 I understand how it feels…I wilt in the heat too 😉 You did get a bunch from your garden though! Yum!!! We're just about to get our first zucchini and have gotten 1 green pepper and a couple banana peppers from ours, so it's just starting here! 🙂

  9. I feel like your garden in the heat too! I love the picture of your cloth diapers hanging on the line…there is nothing prettier than a row of colorful dipes on the line 🙂

  10. It's wonderful you were able to get such nice veggies before your garden died. I'm very jealous. I so wish I had a garden. Hopefully, I'll be able to start one next year. 🙂

  11. Groundhogs seem to have attacked our garden, along with the squirrels and bugs – having issues this year!!

  12. Really superb garden and you are doing good, Keep it up.. Thanks for sharing this interesting topic.

  13. I'm with you, sooo looking forward to cooler weather! Fortunately you did get some nice veggies out of it. I have a couple of unexpected pumpkin plants growing in my backyard and for some reason they seem to be the only thing that is green.

  14. wow! my yard looks the same. I wanted to do a garden but with this heat I think I'll wait until next year.

  15. Oh my. That's not cool. Love your cloth diapers though!

  16. That's terrible! I guess I should be thankful to live in an area of the country where it gets super hot but stays humid and moist in the air! Plus water isn't expensive here. (Still shouldnt be wasted though!)

Haha, I also love your cloth diapers as the commenter above me said.
