Make learning the ABC’s fun with Alphabeasts! Review and giveaway {2011 Holiday Gift Guide}

I have been blessed to have kids who love to learn.  They couldn’t wait to be taught their ABC’s and to learn to read and spell!  However, I know all kids aren’t like this.  Whether they love to learn or not, learning is always more exciting when you add a fun teaching tool to it!

Alphabeasts are plush, loveable, learning companions created to teach children their ABC’s and how to spell while having fun at the same time.  Each of the 26 Alphabeasts has a distinctive design characteristic and physical attribute that makes them unique from one another.  The beasts are two-sided with contrasting colors front and back, and are adorned with upper and lower case alphabet characters on each side to enhance learning and playful functionality.

I adore Alphabeasts! They are so cute and make ME more eager to learn, and I know my kids were excited to see them as well!  Each Alphabeast is 15 inches in height, and are fun and colorful!  Look how adorable these are!

We were sent a ABC Books Box Set to review.  These books are sturdy board books, one for each letter of the alphabet.  The 26 books come in a box with a handle, so you can tote around all of these books as well as have a convenient place to store each one when you’re through with them.  The cover of each book has the Alphabeasts letter character on the front, and the inside has colorful illustrations of the beasts in action as they present a series of words for every letter of the alphabet.

Connor, my 14 month old, really enjoys looking at books. The more colorful the book, the more it captures his attention.  When I took these out, he couldn’t wait to get his hands on them.  It took him a while to settle with one book; he kept grabbing them all, not sure which one to start with!

Shortly after he began to look through the books, his big brothers saw them…
Connor wasn’t too happy at first about having to share his books, but after a few short minutes, they were all reading happily together.

They knew I was taking pictures for this review, and were each loving picking their favorite words and pictures to show me in hopes I would take a picture.  Aren’t these illustrations fun?

These books are great for my 4 year old too, who knows his letters but is still learning letter sounds.  Erik enjoys picking his favorite letter and telling me the letter sound when he “reads” the words (by looking at the picture).  This has been a helpful learning tool for him, and I know it will be for Connor when he gets older as well!
