College Textbooks are Expensive- Save Money and Rent Instead

We were compensated for sharing the following information with you. Regardless, all thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

textbookI don’t remember much about my short time in college, but I clearly remember being horrified when I got the list of textbooks I needed from the bookstore and saw how much they were going to cost me.  YIKES. For a kid who’d just graduated from high school and worked full time for minimum wage at a daycare center, there was no way I could afford to buy all of them.  Thankfully I had my mom who was willing to pay for some, but still… Crazy!

If they would have had an option to rent textbooks, I’d have taken it in a heartbeat.  Fortunately for you current-college-goers out there, is the place for you to do just that!!  Become one of the over 1 million happy customers! Some perks are:
-save 40-90% off of bookstore prices
-free shipping both ways
-can highlight in the textbooks
-flexible renting periods
-they donate to Operation Smile with each textbook rented (!!!)

If you have already spent money on textbooks, Campus Book Rentals also has a new program called RentBack.

Rent Back logoRentBack is new initiative that allows students to rent the textbooks they own to other students.  You’re probably well aware of the buyback option at your college, where you can sell your books back at the end of the semester.  Instead of doing that, why not rent those textbooks to other students, (helping them out), and make yourself even more money than the buyback option; 2-4 time more money, in fact!  What college student can’t use more money?!  The best part (yes, it gets better), is that the most work you’ll have to do is ship your books to; They’ll take care of the rest and send you the money.

  1. I rented several of my textbooks in college- since I was paying 100% of my own tuition and expenses, it was SUCH a lifesaver!

  2. I remember when I was in college and kept my books thinking I would go back in the future to use them as reference. That never happened. I use a professional software to keep me up to date and refer to if needed. I wish I had rented my books or even sold them back because I invested a large amount of money in books.
