Tea Time with Mighty Leaf Tea- TeaTop Brew Travel Mug and Taste Of Tropics Sampler Review and #Giveaway | 2014 Mother’s Day Gift Guide

TeaTop Mug and Taste of TropicsI received the following product for review purposes. All thoughts expressed are my own.

I’ve always loved tea, but I love it more as time goes on.  In fact, it’s impossible for me to go without tea for more than a few days at a time.  I suppose you could say I’m a bit addicted to tea.  It’s not a horrible thing though;  It’s replaced my soda habit. ๐Ÿ˜‰

I was able to review some fantastic tea from Mighty Leaf Tea for our Holiday Gift Guide and I LOVED it, so you can imagine my joy when I got to review for them again, this time for the Mother’s Day Gift Guide! This time they sent me the TeaTop Brew Travel Mug and the Taste of the Tropics tea sampler.

TeaTopThe TeaTop Brew Travel Mug is awesome.  I have found that I can’t (yes, can’t) drink coffee or tea from a regular mug; it’s got to be a travel mug. You see,  I am a sipper- it takes me a good while to finish my entire mug of coffee or tea, and there’s nothing worse than trying to finish drinking it when it’s cold. I enjoy savoring every sip, tasting all of the flavors.  Either that or I’m too busy yapping at my kids to drink it fast enough… But the first sounds better, so let’s go with that. ๐Ÿ˜‰  Anyway, for this reason I am loving the TeaTop Brew Travel Mug.  Aside from the practical features- which we’ll get to in a second- it keeps my drink good and hot until I’m finished with it. And because the body is crafted of double-walled stainless steel, it keeps the tea hot, while staying cool to the touch.

The TeaTop mug saves you from drinking over-brewed tea.  It features a patented TeaTop lid, making it a traveling teapot from which you can enjoy whole leaf tea pouches.   Here’s how it works:

Fold the tea tag in half and thread through the underside of the slit on the lid. Once the brew time indicated on the tea tag is reached, just pull up on the string. This squeezes the oils of the tea pouch into the infused beverage below and pulls the spent tea pouch up to rest in a domed area.

BrewingI also really like the large, curved lip of the lid. It allows for easier drinking and less spilling because of the way in which it’s angled.

Along with the TeaTop Brew Mug I was sent the Taste of the Tropics Gift sampler.  The set includes a 15 count whole leaf tea pouch box of three different teas- Green Tea Tropical, Vanilla Bean, and African Nectar.

taste of tropics setTea Pouches are individually packaged in cello wrap. I love that each box has a punch out spot in the bottom which easily dispenses one tea pouch at a time.

DispenseThe Green Tea Tropical is a green tea (lightly caffeinated), the Vanilla Bean is a black tea (caffeinated), and the African Nectar is an herbal infusion (no caffeine).  Each of these has a tropical, sweet flavor, and each is delicious. I’ll admit, I’m having a hard time deciding which I like the most. I’m usually partial to black tea and think the Vanilla Bean is my favorite, but then I drink the Green Tea Tropical and decide that’s my favorite. Until I have the African Nectar, and then that’s my favorite.  They’re all so good.
