This post is brought to you by Safeway. All thoughts expressed are my own.
We all know I like to cook and bake. Bake mostly, but cooking is fun too (and far more necessary than baking, sadly). There’s nothing worse for me than being unprepared when I’m in the kitchen so I like to be sure I have all of my ingredients on hand. With 4 kids who I have to take grocery shopping with me, it’s so important for me to be able to shop at a store where I can get everything I need in one trip; even better when I can get all of those things at a great price!
Safeway sent me a beautiful gift basket filled with essential ingredients for holiday cooking and baking needs- the same ingredients I would find available at my local Safeway store. Safeway has all the essentials for a successful holiday meal: turkey and ham and all the sides, butter, flour and sugar for baking, and more. With the right mix of these essentials, you can create amazing appetizers, unforgettable meals and delicious desserts.
Desserts are my favorite, and I love the holidays because it’s a great excuse to bake, bake, bake away! My kids enjoy helping me in the kitchen and love desserts best too, of course, so we decided to use some of the cookie mixes Safeway sent us to create yummy desserts and holiday memories! (One child was missing, as he was off making holiday memories with Grammy.)
During the holidays, ingredients are more than just ingredients — they’re what you make of them. Even a simple package of quick mix cookies can make tasty eats and, best of all, wonderful holiday memories with those you love. We’ll be doing this again next week and dropping off dessert gifts to some close friends and spreading the Christmas cheer! Thanks, Safeway, for helping to make this possible!
As always, Safeway provides online information and inspiration for every holiday need on its website, mobile app, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest pages. Be sure and follow them for all of the inspiration and information you may be in need of!
